Скопје радост ти ќе бидеш (лекции по урбанизација)

Филип се осврнува на урбанизацијата и граѓанизацијата како тема на последниот пост на Ивица Боцевски.

Коинцидентно, пред некој ден и UN-HABITAT програмата го публикуваше своајот State of the World's Cities 2006/7 извештај:

This is a time when the world is entering a historic urban transition; in 2007, for the first time in history, the world’s urban population will exceed the rural population.

The urban phenomenon of this century will be megacities, high-density metropolises of more than 10 million
inhabitants. As hubs of trade, culture, information and industry, they will be vested with such power that at many
levels they will act as city states that are independent of national and regional mediation.

Еве како сето тоа изгледа во Chongqing, еден ден низ големиот мегалополис во режија на репортерot на Гардијан, Џонатан Вотс:

As people move off the land and into the sky, they produce less and consume more. In theory, they become socialised and civilised. In practice, they spend more time shopping and eating junk food. A nearby shopping centre, home to Kentucky Fried Chicken, could almost belong to any city on earth: pedestrianised streets, boutiques and fast-food outlets, a giant screen blaring out pop jingle ads, a monorail train running overhead. There are even police girls on roller skates, the latest must-have security accessory.

Тексот е едно феноменално четиво кое најтопло ви го препорачувам. Авторот ги расчепкува влијанијата на мега-градот и хипер-урбанизацијата врз поедини социјални темплејти.

Значи. Година 2050. Седиште на ОГ (Обетинети Градови, формиран 2046, по распадот на ОН). New Yorkers, Paulistanos, Londoners, Chilangos, ... Скопјани? :)
